Bulk cartons and retail boxes for date export
The grade stays the same. The box changes with the buyer: wholesale cartons, 5 kg, 10 kg or a retail pack.
Packaging is part of the specification, not a detail added after the price. A soft Mazafati in a weak carton is a different offer from the same fruit in a lined retail box.
Bulk
Bulk means wholesale cartons for importers who repack or sell to trade. Mazafati bulk is still Bam Mazafati. The fruit is loose in the carton, not a second grade. Net weight, liner and carton strength belong on the quote.
Fixed packs
Five-kilogram and ten-kilogram packs sit between trade and retail. They are common on the Turkey and Iraq lanes, and they travel well when the liner matches the climate. Retail boxes are for shelves. Private label is possible when the artwork and the minimum run are agreed before the packing day.
What not to assume
A humid destination does not get the same liner as a dry one. Sevin Nakhl asks for the destination before locking the pack. The photograph of the fruit is not a photograph of the carton. If you need to see the box, ask for it on the quote.
